Duda Ecommerce Website for a Local Farm

Peach Pit Farms wanted to make it easy for customers to order fresh produce online and pick it up at local farmers markets.

There was just one problem. Their existing website was not in any shape to build on.

So we built them a new one, on Duda, with a full ecommerce store at the center of it.

The Challenge

The old Peach Pit Farms website had not been updated in years. It was slow, outdated, and in poor enough shape that Google had removed it from search results. Browsers were also warning visitors not to enter the site due to security issues.

On top of that, selling produce online comes with a different set of needs than a typical ecommerce store.

Inventory changes constantly, products are seasonal, and every order needs to be tied to a specific pickup location and date.

Peach Pit Farms needed an ecommerce website that could handle all of it, and stay simple enough for their team to manage during a busy harvest season.

A New Website Built on Duda

We started by rebuilding the Peach Pit Farms website from the ground up with a fresh, modern design that highlights the heart of the farm.

The website is focused on what customers actually need:

  • The farm's story
  • Their farming practices
  • Where to find them at local markets

Then we built the part that does the heavy lifting: a custom online farm store.

The Online Farm Store

The store is built with Duda ecommerce and designed around local pickup and weekly inventory updates.

Customers can:

  • Browse available produce
  • Add items to their basket
  • Pay securely online
  • Choose their pickup location
  • Select a pickup date

On the backend, the Peach Pit Farms team can quickly update what's in season and keep the store current from week to week. No developer required.

Why We Built the Online Store on Duda

Duda was a strong fit for this project because it let us build a custom ecommerce experience without making day-to-day management harder for our client.

1. Peach Pit Farms does not have a website developer on staff. They need to update inventory easily as produce and availability change weekly.

2. Duda's ecommerce tooling supports local pickup and mobile-friendly storefronts, both requirements for an online farm store.

3. The store and the main website live on one platform. The store fits naturally into the rest of the site rather than functioning as a separate system, and the whole thing is maintained as one website.

The Result

Peach Pit Farms went from a website that browsers warned people away from to a modern Duda ecommerce website that takes orders around the clock.

Customers browse, pay, and choose their pickup market and date in one visit. The farm updates what's in season in a few minutes each week.

And because the site is on our Ongoing Care plan, it stays secure, current, and healthy long after launch.
