How We Migrated a Financial Advisory Firm's Website Off FMG Suite

A long-established boutique investment advisory firm had a website on FMG Suite - a platform commonly used in financial services.

The firm wanted to move to Duda, a website platform they were already familiar with, and preferred for its ease of use and management.

There was one clear constraint from the start: the existing site design needed to be preserved exactly.

The financial advisory firm's clients knew the site and continuity mattered. A redesign wasn't on the table, and the client told us that upfront.

Our job was to execute the migration from FMG Suite to Duda, with precision, and leave no visible trace that anything had changed.

Before: FMG -> After: Duda

What We Did

FMG Suite Duda Migration

1. Web design recreation

Every page, layout, font style and color was rebuilt on Duda to match the original site. The experience for visitors — including existing clients — remained entirely unchanged by request.

2. Content migration

All client-owned content was transferred to Duda.

3. Strategic suggestions

We offered a number of recommendations along the way. Some were adopted. The ones that weren't were outside the scope the client had defined from the beginning, and we respected that.

4. Preserve old URLs

To avoid SEO loss, and page not found errors, we preserved all the original URLs within the website.

5. A more manageable foundation going forward

By moving from FMG Suite to Duda, the client's team gained a website platform that's easier to manage day-to-day. And that's a quiet but meaningful improvement under the surface.

"Thank you again for taking on this unique project. Recreating an older, not-so-user-friendly site is no small task, and I truly appreciate the care and effort you put into it."

The Takeaway

Not every project is a redesign. Sometimes the work is doing exactly what was asked — and doing it well.

This web development project required precision over creativity.

  • Understand the constraints clearly

  • Recreate the existing site faithfully on a new platform

  • Deliver on time

  • Make the transition invisible to the people who matter most
